Swanage is a small coastal town in the south east of Dorset. It provides an excellent base for exploring the unspoilt Purbeck countryside, with its enchanting villages and countless visitor attractions. Swanage Beach has won many awards including in 2011 Blue Flag Award, Quality Coast Award and recommended by the Good Beach Guide for its excellent water quality Castles, coves, islands and a spectacular coastline await you. Miles of golden sandy beaches for diving, fishing, sailing and building sandcastles. Walks along coastal paths and over sweeping hills and cliff tops. Take a boat trip from Lulworth Cove and marvel at the Fossil Forest or from Swanage to Brownsea Island, home to peacocks and rare red squirrels. Look out for Bottle Nosed Dolphins and Puffins in the sea and on the cliffs below Durlslton Country Park.
